If you love making cozy, dairy-free lattes during the holiday season, the Warm Spiced Almond Milk is the perfect base for a delicious non-dairy drink. This homemade almond milk is easy to make, absolutely delicious (better than store bought!), and packs all of the flavors of the holiday season with an aromatic blend of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.

Almond milk is actually relatively easy to make – the most time-consuming part of this recipe is soaking the almonds in fresh water for a few hours or overnight to allow them to soften enough so that they’re easy to blend. After you blend them, you will use a tea towel or nut milk bag to strain out the chunks, leaving you with a smooth and creamy almond milk.

Spiced Almond Milk
Ingredients
1 c almonds
3 c water
4 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Pre-Soak Your Almonds: Soak your almonds in a bowl of water for at least 3 hours or overnight if possible to soften them before blending.
2. Rinse The Almonds: Once softened, rinse the almonds completely using a fine mesh strainer (water should run clear).
3. Add All Ingredients to a Blender: Add the almonds, fresh drinking water, honey, cinnamon, ground cloves, nutmeg, and salt to a blender and blend until smooth (30-seconds to 1-minute usually does it!).
4. Strain Your Almond Milk and Enjoy: Place your nut milk bag or a cheesecloth over a clean bowl and pour your blended almond milk into it, then wring it out until you’ve separated the almond skins from the almond milk. Transfer your almond milk into a bottle with a lid and store in the fridge for 5-7 days!
